Edwin (Eddie) Scott knew from boyhood that he wanted to entertain people.

His talent for making people laugh helped him to make a living as a Butlins Redcoat and later an Entertainments Director on board cruise ships, while he also worked as a ‘walk-on’ in a host of hit TV series including Hi de Hi, ‘Allo ‘Allo, Only Fools and Horses and The Bill. A more serious side of his personality led to him becoming an expert bridge player, qualifying as a teacher and becoming a professional. Along the way, despite a somewhat turbulent personal life featuring one or two run-ins with alcohol, he and his wife raised three beautiful daughters. This is his story.
